CZW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE, LUMBERJACK STRAP MATCH:
Champion Devon Moore vs. BLK JEEZ

TWO RING PSYCHO CIRCUS DEATH MATCH:
Drake Younger vs. Scotty Vortekz

I was going to do a review of this show however it has been 2 weeks since I watched it and now i don’t wish to sit through it again, so I will make a few notes about Tangled Web 4.

The opening match was a series of dives and high-risk spots, lots of chaos and bad high-spot wrestling in the middle, then a flurry of finishes, and then a finish that seemed contrived considering there were 8-9 wrestlers in the match but just 3 made it into the ring for this long-winded finish. The 4-way tag title match wasn’t bad either but it wasn’t really good either, and whether or not Joe Gacy and Ryan Slater have been around too long, or whatever the hell their status is in CZW (I dont watch every show, just about 3-4 a year), I think they are the most professional LOOKING team in the group. Why they don’t get the win but it given to outsiders Azrieal and Bandido, I don’t know. This new tag team I have never seen before, The Set, man, they were awful in their look, but they did do some nice double team maneuvers.

Matt Tremont vs Little Mondo was shitty but I see something good in Tremont. If he were a few inches taller I’d say he had a future. Greg Excellent is a guy I simply don’t like to watch in the wrestling ring, but then to have him killed by the Nigerian Nightmares, well, it was great actually. I hate Greg Excellent. But that segment took way too long.

Sami Callihan vs BJ Whitmer was the best match on the show. they kicked each others ass, they told a great story with DJ Hyde, it was all very good.

The CZW World Title match was shitty. I like Black jeez a lot. I don’t understand the Devon Moore & CZW love affair. But the match was pitiful, although I believe Moore really hurt himself which called for the shitty finish. The only good thing I can honestly say was the chaos that ensued during and after this match and the Greg Excellent match; that is what makes CZW appealing to me.

Drake Younger vs Scotty Vortekz, a nice and nasty match but too contrived. This constant, incessant talk about the Naptown Dragons… who the hell has heard or cares about, the Naptown Dragons? It’s bizarre because from what I have read, there are just three guys in that group and one of them doesn’t even have his own wikipedia page, he doesn’t warrant a wiki page so then who cares to be honest about the Naptown Dragons? They trained together? Well, that’s cool for an under card match because Scotty Vortekz is a nice wrestler but to main event the guy is bizarre to me. Drake Younger as the Golden Boy is great and should stay a heel. Now I may be foggy on facts and that’s fine because I am not shooting this off to the Wall Street Journal or the NY Times, but IMO, just because a guy is willing to go through panes of glass or get dumped onto a web of barbwire, it doesn’t mean he should main event a card. And on top of that, Vortekz fucks his hand up early in the match, cuts it badly in a pane of glass spot, so you have this terrible injury this kid has to deal with throughout a dangerous match. There is a scaffold above the web of barbwire, and the spots coming off that scaffold just look like shit, totally set-up. Mondo and fat ass Zandig set their crazy spots up a lot better then Younger and Vortekz.

Rob Naylor is shit on commentary. Just the shits. I don’t even know who the other guy is, and I dont care. I miss Eric Gargiulo and John House. I would watch more CZW stuff if those two were announcing.

CZW.Deja.Vu.5.

CZW’s debut in Massachusets looks like a flop, maybe 75 people? Wow, that’s not good.

Scott Reed vs Ryan Slater vs Alex Colon is the opener. Colon and Slater are jr. heavyweights but Reed is a big guy. You don’t see tons of big guys in CZW. He isn’t tall but very built. The match has many big punishing moves. Colon and Slater double team the stronger Reed a bunch of times, but they can’t get along. The impressive Reed, who had some skill in the ring did a good job working with the lighter guys and looked like the ass-kicker. Imagine the surprise when Alex Colon hits a Michinoku Driver on Reed for the win. Of course, it basically comes out of nowhere and there is no psychology to th whole match but that’s CZW.

Drew Gulak(c) vs Johnny Calzone : Why have this fat ass Calzone on your roster? He should be in dark matches. Pizzas ready! C’mon man, that’s just moronic. Crowd starts a “We want pizza!” chant. Drew Gulak’s changed his look over the past few years but I don’t buy it, but I do buy him was the CZW “Wired” TV Champ. His matches end up on CZW Internet TV.These guiys had an eight minute match. They had a decent match, not going too crazy and sticking to the basics. It made for a boring match. Calzone needs a lot of work.

Tomasso Ciampa vs Sabian: I love the Black Jeez, even when he’s one of the worst best light heavyweights around, he’s such a prick, you wish Ruckus could have a little of Sabian’s fire. The Black Jeez comes out, and this place they are having the event is like a gym, with astro turf all around the arena. Again, there are maybe 60 people here. They dont play any music for the first two matches but Sabian runs out demanding they play his music. He grabs one guys hat and throws it, then grabs an old old dudes hat and throws it and then grabs the old mans cane and thriows it acropss the gym floor and yells at him to go get it. Now the old man gets up and he looks like a bearded old coot who hasnt washed in a week but he still looks like he can kick Sabian’s ass. Well, Sabian throws his gum at the old man and jumps into the ring. He ripped the guys hair out, a big grey clump! Wow. Tomasso Ciampa has a good look with a mohawk, but he’s not very big, so another jr. heavyweight. Ciampo trained byn Killer Kowalski and Harley Race? Wow. Larry Legend and his announce partner laying down the knowledge on The Greek. Tomasso has good knees and good strikes. I never noticed untilrecently that Sabian is not very flexible. Sabian hits the Jesus Walks (M.Bison) for the win. CZW bills him as the best “unsigned” lgith heavyweight in pro wrestling. What does that mean?

Devon Moore vs Niles Young: Oh man. Is that Chrissy Rivera with Niles Young? Wow, that chick got fat! Niles Young sneak attacks Devon Moore. Niles Young hasn’t been in CZW in a few years as per the commentary. Pretty fast match, pretty crappy.

Irish Drive-By vs Osirian Portal: Nice surprise match, but it was a lot of comedy and dance spots. They got a lot of time but it was sorta sloppy. Rich Swann is pretty good, but he acted like a dork throughout this thing.

Thurteen vs Danny Havok: Pretty standard lightubes match. Billy Gram was slithering around ringside for this. This was actually one of the crappier light tubes matches I have ever seen making Thurteen one of the worst wrestlers ever.

Sami Callihan vs Chainsaw Joe Gacy: I’m growing less critical of Joe Gacy for some reason. He’s turning into an old school body-type wrestler, Dick Murdoch or Terry Gordy, but he isn’t a big guy. Sami Callihan just looks like a maniac. I like this kid, he always acts crazy and brings 110%, bumps like nuts, looks jacked to the gills for a guy his size, and is very brutal and has great insane facial expressions. Now these guys have a pretty hard-hitting, bruising, knock-down drag-out fight. Gacy does really good, Callihan is just raw nerve endings. They hit some nice finishers but I didn’t like the ending of the match as Sami wins by “KO”, but the ref didn’t really do much other then stop the match as Sammi hit repeated blows to the back of Gacy’s head on the ground. I thought Gacy deserved a better fate then to just get knocked out. Maybe a knockout lariat, as Sammi has a good one. Not the pussy KO by elbow strikes!

John Moxley(c) vs Nick Gage — > No Ropes Barbwire Ropes Match: Gage came out to cheers and tried to get the crowd behind him. “Louder” and “Whose the Man?”, is the best the guy can do, but hey, its Nick Gage. This guy looks like he crawled out of a garbage can. Moxley comes out acting very cool, and one good thing is throughout this whole event you can hear everything because of the very small crowd. Moxley keeps calling Gage “Nicky” and how he’s going to end him, but the shit talk wasn’t as good as I’m making it out to be. Maybe its because the match, although it was brutal and both men bled and share time and lost flesh on the barbwire ropes, the match wasn’t all that great. The small crowd never hurts and then the work was fine but not exceptional. Moxley did hit four suplexes into the barbwire ropes on Gage which was brutal and one of the better touches of the match. The pizza cutter to the face and forehead of Moxley was good too.

Overall: Thanks for reading.

12. Necro Butcher Interview

Boy, there was alot of blood in that Younger/Brain Damage match. The blood was literally squirting out of BD’s forehead. The Ruckus vs. Gauge match was a total abortion and it didn’t seem they knew wtf they were doing. Vordell Walker on the mic, Ricochet, Pinkie Sanchez’ entrance, and two of my favorites, Sexxy Eddy and LuFisto, were the bright spots on an otherwise bland and boring and really bad show. Necro Butcher teaming up with Nicky Benz and turning heel was definitely good, like to see where this goes… oh! A death match! Wow.
